Former Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Abdul Razak has claimed that the Semenyih polls have early signs for a victory for Barisan Nasional (BN).
During the campaign trail for BN candidate Zakaria Hanafi, Najib commented on the alleged lack of support for several Pakatan Harapan programmes which featured prominent Pakatan Harapan (PH) leaders that had support less than his BN events with the “bossku” tagline.
“Azmin said I am afraid to come (to campaign in Semenyih) but I am not afraid. I’m also not sure if Azmin has received this kind of welcome.
“Tonight, we held this programme in Taman Tasik Kesuma, more than 1,000 people came. At the MB’s ceramah, I saw that many chairs were empty,” MalaysiaKini had reported Najib to have said at Taman Tasik Kesuma, speaking to some 1,000 people.
Najib claims that it means an early sign that BN will win this time at a ceramah held at Rinching Semenyih, yesterday (22nd February 2019).
In separate report, Najib had claimed that the term “boss” was commonly used in Sabahan vernacular Slang to denote a friend and that his popular slogan “Malu Apa Bossku” should refer to the rakyat instead.
“But I always bear in mind that the rakyat is my real boss. Hence why the leaders of BN (Barisan Nasional) and Umno must always remember never to get too arrogant or egotistical,” the MalayMail reported Najib saying.
“Today I learn it is not so-called cyber troopers who defend me, but the rakyat themselves. If PH leaders attempt to intimidate me, the rakyat respond back in force.
“For if you talk rubbish without basis, the rakyat will attack you. On our part, we will simply give the facts and they can conclude if it is real or not,” Najib said to the reported shouts of his name in support.
Najib claims he is a victim of slander, and that he was determined to ensure no one else will suffer the same fate.
“You can fool the people once, but you cannot fool the people all the time. Now we send a clear message, this marks the beginning of Umno and BN’s rise again.
“We will make you accountable for all your lies and broken promises to the people. So I urge the voters of Semenyih, do not let these liars win but let BN who speaks the truth win instead.”
